AWS added MediaTailor function hooks after an ad-server response and before rendering the playback manifest.
The hooks support tasks such as consulting another ad source, filtering house ads and running final checks. When a function fails, the workflow falls back to default playback behavior. AWS lists the feature across MediaTailor regions.
