What changed?
The September 10 announcement places the planned IBM Quantum System Two at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre in Lugano. IBM will operate the system, while ETH Zurich will support access for participating institutions, industry and startups.
What should you keep in mind?
Participating organisations can initially access IBM’s cloud quantum fleet. Local hardware deployment remains planned; it should not be described as already operational. The collaboration also includes proposed research in navigation sensing and metallic-alloy manufacturing.
